Our Beerenauslese is a perfect introduction to the fascinating, noble, sweet wine world of Lake Neusiedl! And it is unique in Europe and enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond the borders of Austria. The shallow steppe lake - one of the few on the continent - serves as a heat store in autumn and supplies the vineyards with fog. Whereupon the grapes are struck by the rare (and desirable) noble rot and produce the finest sweet elixirs. For our golden yellow Beerenauslese we use the excellent, noble sweet talent of the Bouvier grape (discovered by chance in 1900 by Clotar Bouvier) and Welschriesling. The former is responsible for the ripe, full body, while the latter brings freshness and play to the wine. There is enough fruit here, apricot, peach and orange set the tone for the aromas, and the balance is also right. This Beerenauslese is a real delicacy that is wonderful to drink alone or with dessert.
