A good Rivaner (aka Müller-Thurgau) has many advantages. But as a fruity white wine cuvée made from three grape varieties – Rivaner (aka Müller Thurgau), Welschriesling and Sauvignon Blanc, the “Heuriger” is unbeatably delicious. Especially when – like here – a good idea is left with residual sweetness. The scent delights with a fine, spicy nutmeg tone and pleasant floral nuances, accompanied by aromas of red apples and honeydew melon. On the palate, the semi-dry white wine reveals its youthful, cheerful nature and shines with a beautiful balance of gentle freshness and juicy fruit. The finely bitter finish brings an additional touch to the wine and is largely responsible for the high refill factor. One can only hope that there is a second, well-chilled bottle in reserve…
