We get our dry Sauvignon Blanc from a special individual vineyard, the Schafgrube. The climate here is somewhat cooler, so the wine develops finer and more reserved aromas than would be the case in a hot location. The Sauvignon Blanc is not an intrusive fruit bomb, but a sophisticated white wine that appeals with fruit aromas typical of the variety in a pleasantly moderate expression. The scent includes red currants, white gooseberries, kiwis and meadow flowers. The palate can look forward to racy minerality, a successful balance and a lively finish. All in all, a Sauvignon Blanc that doesn't overdo it with the aroma and instead focuses on freshness and elegance - and therefore provides great pleasure even after the second or third glass.
